BMW E30




After the success in Formula 1, BMW Motorsport returns to his roots, racing touring car. The German manufacturer has decided to create a new improved version  just introduced E30. At that time, the popular German and European championships in tourist championships were under the auspices of the group A. The rules dictate that the car can get homologation only if he produced 5000 cars over a period of 12 months.
 
Nakon uspeha u Formuli 1, BMW Motosport se vraća svojim korenima, trkama turističkih automobila. Nemački proizvođač je rešio da stvori novu poboljšanu verziju tek uvedene E30. U to vreme popularni nemački i evropski šampionati u turističkim šampionatima su bili pod okriljem grupe A. Pravila su nalagala da automobil može da prođe homologaciju samo ukoliko se proizvede 5000 automobila u periodu od 12 meseci.


At that time the most powerful engine that is owned E30 was the 2.5-liter six-cylinder engine. He was too long and difficult, so they decided to try another approach. The engine is developed for 14 days, and because of that was named S14. Given that it was created for such a short period it is logical that created by merging several existing parts. The new engine is actually the engine from the M1 but with two cylinders removed. With a lot of combination  the engine of 2.3 liters was created, which is delivering 280 to 300 horses at 8400 revolutions per minute. In Frankfurt in 1985 BMW presents a new E30 M3. Instead of 5000 they produced 15,000 cars.
 
 U to vreme najači motor koji je E30 posedovao je bio 2,5 litarski 6-cilindrični motor. On je bio previše dugačak i težak pa su se odlučili za drugačiji pristup. Motor je nastao za 14 dana pa je dobio naziv S14. Sa obzirom da je nastao za tako kratak period logično je da nastao spajanjem više postojećih delova. Novi motor je ustvari bio motor iz M1 al su dva cilindra odstranjena. Sa još dosta kombinovanja nastao je motor od 2,3 litre koji je isporučivao 280 do 300 konja na 8400 obrtaja u min.
 U Frankfurtu 1985 prikazan je novi E30 M3. Umesto 5000 proizvedeno je 15000 automobila.


What has created the legend of M3 were successes on the track. This car was among other things, won many national and a international titles, including DTM, as well as first win for BMW on WRC after 14 years.
  
Ono što je je stvorilo legendu od M3 su uspesi na stazi. Popularna “kockica”, kako je kod nas zovu, je između ostalog osvojila mnoge domaće i međunardne titule, uključujući DTM, kao i  pobedu na WRC-u  prvu posle 14 godina za BMW.. 

Something about model


The model that I present to you today is the BMW E30, brand IXO, who took part in the Rally Principe de Asturias in 1989. To me, this model is quite significant because he has determined the direction that my collection will go. And that are of course  racing cars. I remember I sent my close relative to go to the stock car and to see if they have BMW E30, and if he see him, he must buy it. After long anticipation, the waiting was worth it, cousin called me and told me to look at email. This is  what was waiting me to see it.


Nešto o modelu

Model koji vam danas predstavljam je BMW E30, marke IXO, koji je učestvovao na reliju Principe de Asturias 1989. Za mene je ovaj model poprilično značajan jer je on odredio smer kojim će moja kolekcija ići. A to su naravno trkački automobili. Sećam se da sam poslao mog bliskog rođaka da ide na berzu automobila i da ukoliko vidi BMW E30 da ga obavezno kupi. Nakon dugog iščekivanja, čekanje se isplatilo, rođak mi se javio i rekao da pogledam mejl. Ovo me je čekalo:



My enthusiasm knew no bounds. Today when I look at this model, I feel the same happiness and I am so proud to present this not so perfect model.


Mom oduševljenju nije bilo kraja. Danas kada pogledam ovaj model, osetim tu istu žar i sa ponosom mogu da predstavim ovaj ne tako savršen model. 
 

Externally model looks solid. The color is applied good but with some errors in the crossing between blue and white, you can see in the pictures bellow, but you can seen it when you spend more time seeing it. Stickers are good, nothing wrong. Exhaust is filled with plastic and it seems unrealistic Mudguard are supposed to be white. Fog lights are very big and in my opinion they do not look very realistic. Rearview mirror have a mirror, you do not see on every model in this price range. Wiper is good. Wheels looks good, I added black dots to make it look more realistic, there are discs but unfortunately lacks brake calipers. Turning lights are not decal, that is nice detail.

Spolja model izgleda solidno. Boja je solidno nanešena ali ima grešaka pri prelazu između plave i bele što se vidi na slikama, ali ne upada toliko u oči. Nalepnice su dobre, ništa ne fali. Auspuh je popunjen pa izgleda nerealno. Blatobrani bi trebalo da su bele boje. Maglenke nekako upadaju u oči i po meni ne izgledaju baš realno.  Retrovizori imaju ogledalca, što se ne viđa na svakom modelu u ovom cenovnom rangu. Brisač je dobar. Felne izgledaju solidno, ja sam dodao crne tačke kako bi izgledalo realnije, tu su i diskovi ali nažalost fale klešta. Žmigavci nisu nalepnice što je lep detalj. 
 
When you unscrew the two triangular screws we can see this interior.
Kada odvrnemo dva trouglasta šarafa dobijamo ovakvu unutrašnjost.

 




The interior is decorated with racing seats, with safe belt that are  decal.  Beside racing seats, there is an dashboard that has a sticker that gives a nice contrast of black, then transmission, and a fire extinguisher. What I find interesting is that this model as well as the real are made for modification, so it is possible to paint some things that factory didn't  but they make in a mold, so we have the accelerator, brake and clutch, and some other details.

 
Unutrašnjost krase kadice, sa pojasevima koji su naravno nalepnice (kažem naravno jer u ovom cenovnom rangu ne možemo očekivati više). Pored kadice, postoji instrument tabla koja ima nalepnicu koja lepo daje kontrast crnoj boji, zatim menjač, i protivpožarni aparat. Ono što je meni zanimljivo je da je ovaj model kao i pravi stvoren za modifikacije, pa je tako moguće ofarbati neke stvari koje fabrika nije uradila ali je naglasila u kalupu, pa tako imamo papučice gasa, kočnice i kvačila, zatim, žičice koje mirna ruka može da naglasi, kao i razni drugi detalji. 

Conclusion


At the end, this is a good model for little money, I have paid 15e, and for that money is excellent. For those with a careful hand this model with some improvements can stand straight  with some more "serious" producers.

 Zaključak   

Sve u svemu, ovo je dobar model za male pare, ja sam ga platio 15e, i za te pare je odličan. Za one sa mirnijom rukom ovaj model uz neka poboljšanja može ravno da stoji i uz neke “ozbiljnije” proizvođače.
